Senior Project Engineer

PTAC Engineering is searching for skilled Engineers to contribute to the enhancement and expansion of our family. This position is an exempt full-time position. Your role will be creating a high-quality product that exceeds our clients’ expectations by utilizing specialized engineering software and design. You will compile precast calculation packages.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree from an Accredited University in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. Other Acceptable Degrees Architectural Engineering

Experience

• 6 years of Precast Engineering experience
• PE License required
• SE License preferred

Software Skills

• MS Office
• MathCAD
• Precast Design Software (Eriksson Preferred)
• Structural Analysis or Finite Element Analysis Software (RISA 3D Preferred)
• 3D modeling software (Revit Preferred)

Job Duties

• Independently complete design of precast structures
• Independently complete design of lateral systems
• Check precast shop and erection drawings and respond/investigate/research/resolve issues
• Participate in ongoing standards development
• Effectively facilitate external coordination with precast producers and design teams
• Internal coordination with drafting, engineering, and BIM departments
• Develop and train design engineers
• Act as project manager for responsible projects
